The Multilingual module allows inquirers to change
the language of the screen display on the terminal
they are using. All functions, including searches
can be conducted in the selected language.
-
The language used on the screen layout
is changed at the touch of a key. The user chooses
from a list of available languages.
-
Each OPAC terminal can operate in its
own language, i.e. on a system with five inquiry
terminals each could be conducting a search in a
different language.
-
The Multilingual module includes the languages:
Spanish, French, Hebrew, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese
and Japanese. Additional languages are added, as
they become available, through updates.
-
Each title should be catalogued in its
original language.
