Softlink offers the latest, high quality, Barcode

eader technology, supplied by Datalogic
Opticon. Data Sheets for all devices are available
on request. PS2 cables/adaptors are included with
each device, AT adaptors are included with some devices.
USB cables are available with many devices. Please
enquire if you are unsure which is appropriate for
your system
A Minimum of 1 Year, return to base, warranty applies
on all Barcode Readers. Some Readers carry a 2, or
even 5 year warranty. Repairs are via a returns system,
administered by Softlink. Manufacturers may charge
a fixed price repair - Softlink will advise on likely
costs but, on entry-level readers, it may be more
economical to replace the unit. For overseas delivery,
carriage charge will be advised and readers will be
delivered via Softlink Asia.
HAND HELD SCANNERS These will generally have
a programmable trigger and may also have a 'hands
free' cradle. There are a range of prices, depending
on requirements. Please specify:

that operates up to 3-4 inches from the barcode,
just like a Laser. The handy shape, wide reading

up to 30m from its cradle. This is a high quality,
affordable, dual-purpose device - you can use
it for normal loan/return AND for stocktake.

of the highly respected OPL device. Programmable,
available in grey or black, operates up to several
inches from the barcode, reads Telepen Plessey.

Omnidirectional Device: is a Free Standing
Scanner, usually screwed to the desk, able to
read barcodes at distances up to 8 inches, designed
for hands-free operation, wide angle acceptance
